Overview
PlainMirror mirrors your phone screen to your Tesla's browser. The mirrored screen travels only over your phone's local hotspot connection and is never routed through the internet or any external server. This policy applies to the PlainMirror Android app available on Google Play.
Screen Content & Data Collection
PlainMirror does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your screen content and the apps you mirror are only rendered on your Tesla over the local hotspot. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and we have no access to what you mirror.
Local Network Only
All mirroring happens between your phone and your Tesla over your phone's hotspot or a shared Wi-Fi network. No cloud service is involved in streaming your screen, videos, maps, or apps.
Permissions
PlainMirror requests the permissions needed to capture and stream your screen (for example, screen capture permission on Android 14+). These permissions are used solely to provide the mirroring feature and are not used to collect data.
Third-Party Services
PlainMirror uses a small set of third-party services: Google Play processes your purchase and any in-app purchases (IAP), and Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymous crash reports to help us improve stability. The screen content you mirror is never sent to these services, and neither Google nor Firebase receives data about what you mirror.
Storage & Deletion
PlainMirror does not retain any of your data on any server. There is nothing to delete because no personal data is collected. Uninstalling the app removes it from your device entirely.

If we change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new terms and the last-updated date.
